One of my favourite images from my book on Ellen Savage and the sinking of the Centaur is this one of survivor Mattie Morris arriving home in Melbourne a few days after the tragedy. Mattie had spent a day and a half helping Ellen treat the wounded and fighting off a school of sharks using a piece of wood with a nail in the end.
